LAPCAE’s membership elects the Board of Directors in a staggered two-year cycle, so continuity carries over even as seats turn over. Elected board members meet in person at least four times a year and serve on committees throughout the year, in person and virtually.

Any member may self-nominate or nominate another member they believe would serve well in an open position, including someone in a different region. Regional Representative seats are voted on only by members within that region. Nominees are contacted to confirm they’re willing to stand for election and to take on the role’s responsibilities before their name goes on the ballot.

New officers are installed each year at the LAPCAE Conference.
