The purpose of LAPCAE is to provide leadership in the advancement of all forms of adult, technical, and community education by:

unifying the profession

providing professional development opportunities

encouraging research in the field of adult education

communicating relevant news with members and the public providing scholarships to adult learners

and recognizing top state educators
All LAPCAE members receive membership to COABE. COABE represents the field of 65,000 adult educators and provides a variety of services, including professional development through annual, state-of-the-art national conferences, more than 50 webinars annually, and a peer-reviewed journal.
