It rarely makes the news\, and the people it serves usually aren’t in a position to make noise about it. \nSeptember is when that changes on purpose. \nLAPCAE observes the full month rather than the national week alone\, because a month gives programs room to do something real — invite a council member to sit in on a class\, get a proclamation read at a parish meeting\, tell a learner’s story to people who’ve never heard one. \nEverything here is built to work whether you have a week to plan or an afternoon.

SUMMARY:LCTC Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:The LCTC Annual Conference brings together faculty\, staff\, and leadership from across Louisiana’s community and technical colleges. LAPCAE will be there with a table in the exhibit showroom. \nThis matters more than a booth usually does. Adult education is often the least-visible part of a college’s work — it doesn’t show up in enrollment headlines\, and it’s frequently run by one or two people in a building full of people who’ve never seen a class. Being in that room\, in front of chancellors\, deans\, and academic affairs staff\, is one of the few chances all year to change that. \nIf you’re attending\, come find us. And if you work in adult education at a college with people who don’t quite know what you do\, bring one of them by.
