It runs in church basements and community college annexes and library back rooms\, often staffed by one person who does everything. It rarely makes the news\, and the people it serves usually aren’t in a position to make noise about it. \nSeptember is when that changes on purpose. \nLAPCAE observes the full month rather than the national week alone\, because a month gives programs room to do something real — invite a council member to sit in on a class\, get a proclamation read at a parish meeting\, tell a learner’s story to people who’ve never heard one. \nEverything here is built to work whether you have a week to plan or an afternoon.

Three days of sessions led by Louisiana practitioners\, state and national partners\, and invited experts\, closing with the Awards Luncheon on November 3.
